Dolphins are very social, living in schools or “pods” of up to a dozen individuals. Where there is a high abundance of food, schools can join temporarily, forming what is called a 'superpod'. These ‘superpods’ may exceed a thousand dolphins. Some say a dolphin could die of loneliness if not for living in ‘pods’.
Dolphins are known for their protective nature. They are very protective of their families and young. Dolphins are also known to be guides and protectors of people. They are regarded as one of the world’s most intelligent mammals.
Nineteen centuries ago, Plutarch, a Greek historian, biographer, essayist, and Middle Platonist, made this statement: "to the dolphin alone, beyond all other, nature has granted what the best philosophers seek: friendship for no advantage".
How can we use the Dolphin as a role model in becoming a successful network marketer? Though a successful marketer does not have to be of “high intelligence” to succeed, there are basic principles, that if followed, will lead to success.
1. Create a large network of relationships, friends, associates, your ‘pod’.
2. Protect your ‘pod’ by supporting them, advising them, sharing the 'food'... ie resources, knowledge, and being an example
3. Make and keep your friendships for NO ADVANTAGE. Many people fail at network marketing due to ‘greed and ego’.
4. Learn the skills necessary to create the ‘intelligence’ and share that knowledge with your ‘pod’ and others.
Dolphins are born with natural intelligence. This is something, we as humans must learn. To learn more about gaining the skills you need for success in your business venture, download this free resource.

Yep we can learn much from dolphin. Here on the west coast we see a very similar situation with porpoises. They are much the same as dolphins and have the same behavior. I like the similarity with network marketing. We do need to support each other and share our thoughts. Thank you for sharing yours.

Wow Jen,
Beautiful analogy of what network marketing is all about and how Mentoring for Free could become your pod.
Certainly happy to belong to yours.
Thanks for sharing,

Hi Jennifer,
Hmmm … What great word pictures you've created here. too bad dolphins aren't in network marketing to help show us the way. What a revolution that would be!
Good thing there are visionaries like you who can help others learn the lesson of the pod. Thanks for your contribution.
I appreciate you,

Really wonderful analogy!
On a personal note, I was born under a water sign and I have the greatest respect for creatures of the sea. We network marketers can learn a great deal from dolphins.
Thank you for this outstanding post,
